Security that’s better than a password
Recently, I spoke with a technology expert (my twenty-something friend) about my laptop’s persistent call for my password. Whether the password request came after a shutdown or a logout, whether I was away from my computer for an hour or a day, the demand was always there.
“Do I really have to type my password in so often?” I said.
“What’s the big deal?” asked my young adviser. “An extra three seconds? Isn’t it worth it for security?”
