Food poisoning healed
Many years ago, when my husband and I had a dinner party for another couple, not long into the dinner I felt extremely ill and had to excuse myself. I could only imagine that it was food poisoning because it seemed to come out of nowhere. The pain was so excruciating that an overwhelming fear set in. I felt the need to be alone, as time seemed to be of the essence. So I went to my room and closed the door.
As I sat there alone, the thought came: “You’d better call an ambulance because you don’t have long to live.” I had never had such a thought before, and that frightened me all the more. And then another suggestion invaded my thinking: “You’re going to die!” In desperation, I reached for the phone at my bedside to dial 911. But as I did, I saw my class notes on the shelf under the telephone.
