Healing of thyroid deficiency
Over many years I have had physical exams for a variety of reasons. In virtually all of them I was told that I had a thyroid deficiency that needed to be treated by taking a daily pill for the rest of my life to make up the deficiency. I consented to taking the pill and continued to do so for a while.
However, this was never a comfortable decision. My understanding of God as All-in-all and the only cause and creator kept driving me to reject the thought that any supplement was needed for me or anyone else to be whole. Through my lifelong study of the Bible and Christian Science, I knew and loved the fact that man truly is the perfect idea of God, Spirit, and that God meets man’s every need. I kept praying for direction and guidance about the situation.
The turning point came when I read a testimony in The Christian Science Journal about another Christian Scientist in a similar situation who had a healing when they turned away from material methods to Spirit. I felt this was the guidance that I had been seeking.
