Painful knee condition healed
This is adapted from a testimony originally posted during The Mother Church’s online Wednesday testimony meeting.
A couple of years ago, one of my knees began bothering me quite a lot. It was difficult to go up and down stairs, or even just to sit down and get up again. This painful condition grew worse over a couple of months.
I realized I’d heard about this type of problem from a handful of people earlier that year, and some symptoms I was experiencing were exactly like those they had described to me. I could see that I needed to do a better job of refuting these symptoms, and the general belief that life is in matter, by applying what I knew of Christian Science.
Referring to God, divine Mind, the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy states, “Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action” (p. 283). I reasoned that since the source of my being, divine Mind, expresses itself without impediment, I—as the very spiritual expression of that Mind—must reflect unimpeded movement.
