Abscessed tooth healed
Recently, when I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned, both the dentist and the hygienist recommended that I have a tooth extracted immediately as it was abscessing. I had no idea this was happening, as I was not in any pain, but listened while they recommended a specialist. Then I went home to pray and contacted a Christian Science practitioner.
What occurred to me was that my whole being is spiritual, untouched by human conditions or human history. Nothing had, in truth, ever compromised my substance in Spirit. I glimpsed my innocence as the spiritual reflection of God and affirmed that I express Christly qualities. I felt at peace.
This quote from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy on page 300 was my model in thought and spoke to Christ Jesus’ parable of the tares and the wheat: “The temporal and unreal never touch the eternal and real. The mutable and imperfect never touch the immutable and perfect. The inharmonious and self-destructive never touch the harmonious and self-existent. These opposite qualities are the tares and wheat, which never really mingle, though (to mortal sight) they grow side by side until the harvest; then, Science separates the wheat from the tares, through the realization of God as ever present and of man as reflecting the divine likeness.”
