Communion
Dear Christ ... “the water,
the bread, and the wine.” *
The water that purifies
Thought and refines;
The bread that fulfills every
Need, through His love;
The wine, inspiration that
Speaks from above,
Calling us to let go as the
Waters wash clean,
And accept, as our own, all the
Good we have seen.
So we drink in the wine with the
Bread and the water,
To see ourselves now as God’s loved
Sons and daughters.
