All-harmonious!
After a recent incident in my business, there has been a watershed change in the way I approach problems in my life. As a real estate broker, I often coordinate several people, plans, and procedural motions, working out a resolution that pleases everyone and meets my business needs. One deal in particular, however, was not going well. During the middle of a stressful day, I decided to leave the office. I headed to a quiet park to listen and pray about this so-far unsuccessful deal by organizing my thoughts and praying to affirm and understand spiritual truths from the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings.
Our team had been working for months to creatively rezone two parcels of land, and the city planning and zoning commission would cast its vote on the matter that night.
We had engaged architects, engineers, land planners, developers, and brokers. After initial assurances of support from city staff members, we had met with sudden and sharp opposition from the case officer assigned to our project and from the chairman of the planning and zoning commission. From the moment he was assigned, this case officer had created obstacles for us and caused numerous delays.
