Mountain stream
During a much-anticipated trip to the Columbia Icefields Parkway in the Canadian Rockies last year, I was in awe of the spectacular canyons, rushing waterfalls, flying spray, and beautiful glaciers and mountains. These lines from a well-loved hymn came to thought:
As sings the mountain stream,
Past rock and verdure wild,
So let me sing my way to Thee,
Thy pure and happy child.
