Answers we need
Our periodicals have just undergone changes. I am of an age to have seen all of them published in many different sizes, and I am pleased with the new standard size. Also, to have them available online is a welcome addition. I not only wish to express my gratitude for the periodicals, but also to those who provide the wonderful articles. These articles often have the answers that we need in working for healing, and they seem to arrive in the mail at the right time.
In the May Christian Science Journal, there is an article by Louis Benjamin, “Some thoughts on thought.” He asks, “Have you ever thought of yourself as an idea?” and, “What is an idea, anyway?” This caught my eye because I have not always found it easy to see myself as “a spiritual idea of God.” When working through a problem, “the material” gets in the way. Mr. Benjamin gave a very clear explanation when he wrote, “An idea is a form of thought without a material structure.” This statement seemed to be just what I needed. I am grateful to him for sharing his thoughts.
And in the April 29 Sentinel, “Tell your face about it” by Andrew Wilson, I found another very helpful thought that followed along the same idea. Referring to Mary Baker Eddy’s quote, “Realize the presence of health and the fact of harmonious being, until the body corresponds with the normal conditions of health and harmony” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 412 ), he emphasized the word until, and this word also was important to me.
Words can never express my gratitude for all the services provided by The Mother Church. Each Sunday and Wednesday, I listen to the online service, and I am glad these go around the world to bless others. Mrs. Eddy said Christian Science would go across the ocean, and indeed, it has fulfilled her prophecy.

New phraseology
Just when you think a well-loved topic has pretty much been covered, such as God’s caring love for us, a writer comes up with a precious new phraseology. High school freshman Mandy-kay Thornton Johnson’s line “He holds us in His ceaseless dawn” moved me deeply [“Our constant home,” April 22, 2013]. Thank you sweet young thinker, keep writing!

Valuable sharing
[“ ‘Hid with Christ,’ not judged,” Ginger Mack Emden, April 22, 2013, issue]
Thanks for sharing this healing and your journey. How valuable for all of us to realize life isn’t about me, me, me—and that God is the main event. When that perspective is adjusted, the view changes to what He-She knows.
