A precious treasure
The Holy Bible consistently tops the list of favored texts—and not because of persuasive commentaries or statistics.
I've found this mini-library cherishes the holy, the heart and soul both of its readers and its heroes. And yet without God, the Holy One, the Bible would simply be pages of words.
Therein lies its precious nature. Because God, divine Love, undergirds it, the Bible itself reverberates with love and praise, shepherding and healing. When I retreat into the stories and songs, my longings and fears are embraced and comforted; my wounds healed. For me, it touches deep within, and my heart whispers, "I know this is mine—and nothing, no one can take that away."
