EAR CONDITION HEALED THROUGH PERSISTENT PRAYER

Last fall, one of my ears began to itch, and while at first I didn't think much about it, the itching continued and was soon accompanied by moisture in my ear. I attempted to keep the area dry by using tissues or cotton swabs, but this only alleviated the condition temporarily. The moisture increased and spread to my neck where bumps were forming, which was embarrassing for me.

I knew this was not part of the picture of my true being as God's child. The perfect Creator, who made all, creates only perfection. That is the reality that no material condition can hide or alter. Further, I affirmed that there could be no truth or substance in the condition itself. I held to these spiritual ideas and was grateful for the loving support of my husband during this time.

The condition did not abate, however, and because it was affecting the hair around my face, I started wearing a wig to avoid bringing attention to my appearance. I washed my hair often, and made a conscientious effort not to continually check or scratch my ear and neck, so as to avoid giving the situation any additional significance.
