"ONCE A MONTH, a couple dozen women gather in The Upper Room Christian Coffee House [in Sheboygan, Wisconsin] to discuss equality between genders, love among religions, and understanding among people. ... The group also has monthly prayer meetings for global concerns and weekly intercessory prayer and Bible study meetings. Tina Yurk, president of the local group, has been involved with Aglow on and off for 15 years. ...

" '[Men and women] both have a part in the things of God, the unfolding of God's agenda,' Yurk said. 'We should have mutual respect for the things God called each to do.' ...

" 'We pray for different ethnic groups so they are reconciled together. We're not just women in Sheboygan getting together to do crafts. We want to see the religions come together,' [public relations secretary Barb McWilliams said.]
