A life improved
Originally published in O Arauto da Christian Science
When I became acquainted with Christian Science, I was having a lot of problems. My cousin gave me two copies of O Arauto da Christian Science, and I read them during a trip. I agreed that the ideas I was reading would in fact be beneficial to me. And I purchased the book Science and Health.
When I read "the scientific statement of being" on page 468, the main message in that prayer completely changed my thinking. I began to see my family, my husband, and myself in a new light. This strengthened me.
I solved many problems through the study of Christian Science. Life began to change for the better. I started to attend Christian Science Sunday services and grew stronger in my study of God's good laws. Then I no longer felt the need to take medication because I found I could heal myself through prayer. One healing I had was of a problem of decalcification in my bones. Before, I had needed to be very careful about lifting weight, but after the healing I was able to carry heavy things and walk without any problems.
