A stream that won't stop flowing
Paul's friend Alexander lived in an old mill by a stream. A long time ago the stream made the millwheel turn around and around.
One afternoon when Paul came to visit, the boys decided to walk to the spring where the stream began. Up and up the stream they went, sloshing about in their rubber boots. Some of the rocks on the bottom of the stream were slippery. The boys laughed and yelled as they slipped and slid, grabbing on to each other for support.
The boys soon noticed that they weren't alone on this sunny afternoon. Max, a boy from the neighborhood, was quietly sneaking along behind them.
