Healed of skin problem

One day my husband pointed out an inflamed mole on my back, which he thought might be skin cancer. He expressed this concern because he was familiar with the symptoms of this type of condition.

Even though he respected my practice of Christian Science and knew I hadn't been to the hospital for over ten years, he asked if I would have a doctor look at it. I paused and thought about his question for a while, but then quietly said No. He responded by explaining why he thought it wouldn't hurt to have an examination, noting that it was best handled medically if diagnosed early. Even if I didn't use a medical remedy as a result of the examination, he said, at least I would have a second opinion about the condition and its severity.

I said I didn't want to go to a doctor because I knew God would help me. He didn't understand why I was so reluctant and asked again what harm would come from having an examination. I appreciated his concern and care, so I told him about an earlier healing I'd had through Christian Science of a pain in my breast. During that time I had overcome a fear of cancer. My answer did not entirely satisfy my husband.
