Christian Science treatment heals ovarian and lung cancer
The first time I began reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy I wasn't in the best state of mind to accept its ideas. I thought that God had forgotten me. A door had been opened in my life through which all kinds of misfortunes were coming in, and it seemed that God could do nothing about them.
When I was a little girl, however, I had felt I was God's very dear child. In my childish mind I would keep very specific ideas about Him whom I considered my Father. I used to dream of visiting missions and working with the needy.
For this reason, I always lived in a very practical way—as a volunteer in residences for impoverished elderly people, with children from Gypsy families, in camps for troubled teens, and so on.
