I sometimes wonder what my life would have been like if I hadn't found out about Christian Science.

From the time our first son was born, I was constantly worried and fearful about what might happen to him. When he was beginning to walk, he had a very bad fall and lost consciousness. My husband and I were terrified. But my mother-in-law, who was already studying Christian Science, gave us a practitioner's address and told us to take the child to her house immediately.

We went there, carrying the still unconscious boy in our arms. The practitioner gave us an Arauto to read, while she prayed. In a few minutes our son came to, wanted to be put down on the floor, and began to play. I couldn't believe it, and I watched him for symptoms the rest of the day. But nothing happened, and there were no aftereffects. That's how we began to study Christian Science, and this happened more than fifty years ago. It was so good to know that I didn't have to be afraid anymore!
