Healed of hemorrhoids after listening to Christian Science Herald program
Many years ago, I was living in Kinshasa, in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo. Some time later I went to Lubumbashi to further my studies. Often the fact of changing one's background or walk of life involves a change of diet.
After I had been living in Lubumbashi for a while, I began to suffer from hemorrhoids for the first time in my life. This condition was diagnosed medically, and I was told that I would require prolonged medical treatment.
The doctor advised me that a surgical operation was the fastest way to end the condition. But I refused because some of my colleagues who had been operated on had not totally recovered. Their illness had continued. Then the doctor told me that my last choice would be to adopt a soothing diet to ease the pain and avoid making the case worse. I decided to follow this plan. From that point, there were foods I could no longer eat.
