I just finished my first reading of the July 22 Sentinel on AIDS and will reread it many times [with] humble gratitude felt for the honesty, thoughtfulness, and deep love expressed throughout; in particular the editorial, " 'We faced the sunrise together.' " The fact that this man passed on is not the event; it was his seeing the "perfect man" who lives eternally that will be remembered.
God did create us in His image and likeness, and this means everyone, regardless of circumstance. I, for one, will be taking part in the healing prayer for our world by acknowledging my duty to God to love my neighbor more and to be responsible to know that this affliction can and will be healed. This is God's will!
Many thanks to the Sentinel staff and all of the contributors for outstanding work.
