Prayer vs. bush fires
Sentinel Radio's Russ Gerber talked with Sancy Childs of Tathra, Australia, about the role of prayer during her country's recent fires. Excerpts from their conversation follow.
Sancy, how would you describe the terrain and the fires, and how people have been reacting?
The fires are mainly in bush land, which is coastal forest—probably not very different from the terrain around Santa Barbara, California. Gum trees and low-growing bushes cover the area pretty thickly.
