A new job, at my age?
Original in German
I was living about three-quarters of an hour by public transportation from my workplace. I'd had the job for six years, and I was happy with it.
Then my employer moved our workplace to outside the city, in the exact opposite direction from my home. So I was faced with double commuting time: one and a half hours there, and one and a half hours back, every day.
Now I was already 58—a businessman. And at that time there was a lot of unemployment. But I said to myself, "If I have to curtail the time I give to God and my church, that can't be in accord with God's intention."
