No more biology blues

My freshman year of high school, I struggled with a biology course. I studied for hours and crammed for tests with material I didn't really understand. I got a C on my first test, and was really disappointed. I felt I always needed more time to figure things out. That really scared me into praying.

One night, while I was studying for my second test, there was a point at which I felt I couldn't retain any more information. I stopped what I was doing and opened up Miscellaneous Writings by Mary Baker Eddy. And this message is what I read: “Never ask for tomorrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment“ (p. 307). That took a lot of pressure off me. It was an amazing relief to realize that even though I was studying, all the inspiration and knowledge I needed were really coming from the one unlimited Mind, God. God would give me the ideas I needed to answer the questions correctly.

I ended up getting an A on that test. It was the top score in my class. The rest of the year I continued to do really well, without feeling worried about any of the work.
