Can someone attain real advantages in life through fraud or dishonesty? Ansgar Schwierskott told the German edition of The Herald of Christian Science—Radio Edition how he proved that integrity and sincerity bring progress. Below are excerpts from that interview.
I was asked by my company to help out at a construction site for a short time because a lack of personnel had produced a bottleneck. I was to take measurements of finished construction work, which were urgently needed for invoicing.
At the construction site, the foreman explained to me how to go about it. "If you measure a little more by so-and-so much over the whole distance, we will have additional profit." In plain language, I was to generate more money—through fraud.
