Prayer heals severe knee pain
Recently I experienced a remarkable healing. I had wakened about three o'clock in the morning with a jolting pain in my right knee, and I quietly tried to affirm the truth of my being as the spiritual idea of God. I managed to get to a chair near the bed where my Bible and Science and Health were, and tried to read, but the pain was excruciating, and I could not straighten the leg. Later that morning I called a Christian Science practitioner to ask for treatment through prayer. Straightaway she reminded me that in God "we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28). She gave me passages to study, and before putting the telephone down, I told her I needed to be at work at three that afternoon.
The pain receded and my knee strengthened. I was free.
