GOD DOESN'T MAKE BUSINESS MISTAKES

Many years ago I was assigned a new job that entailed the daily summing up and balancing of accounting figures submitted by several other departments. I was warned that this summation had rarely balanced in the past because various departments' calculations often had errors that were difficult to track down.

I had a tough time accepting this challenging warning, for it seemed to me there was no valid reason why the quality of my work should suffer from the mistakes of others. So before I commenced work that first morning, I spent some time praying. I listened to God to understand more fully that just as accurate adherence to the principle of mathematics precludes the possibility of a mistake, one's obedience to God, divine Principle, which acts through divine law, can never cause a mistake. Divine law governs the entire universe, including me and my fellow employees, with unchanging harmony. Man's true identity as God's, Spirit's, reflection cannot make a mistake, for man is governed by the unerring laws of God, good.

I also wanted to understand better that because God is the one infinite Mind or intelligence, there can truly be no careless or unintelligent ideas. Mind's ideas express the unerring accuracy of all that Mind, God, does. Although errors may sometimes occur in business, they need not be seen as normal, for they don't reflect God's universal law of harmony.
