Vision and balance problems quickly healed

A Couple of years ago, I began experiencing blurred vision, dizziness, and pain. I also found that I could not judge distances. This made it difficult for me to climb stairs, catch buses, do the housework, or read and write. The situation alarmed me, as I had two small children to care for, as well as a job to hold down.

At first, I thought that perhaps I should obtain glasses. Then I remembered what I had been learning of the laws of God in the Bible and Science and Health. These spiritual laws had never let me down before. Every time my children or I had been sick, we had turned to God and been healed. Knowing that God would not let me down in this situation, either, I decided to pray and radically rely on Him for healing, as I normally did.

I found this statement in Science and Health comforting: "Neither age nor accident can interfere with the senses of Soul, and there are no other real senses. ... Spirit's senses are without pain, and they are forever at peace. Nothing can hide from them the harmony of all things and the might and permanence of Truth" (pp. 214-215). I also followed these helpful instructions in the same book: "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought" (p. 495).
