I am eternally grateful to God and to my mother for having brought Christian Science into our home. Early on, I had healings of chronic nosebleeds and tonsillitis. More recently, early one morning, I wakened with sharp abdominal pains. There was no apparent reason for this, and the severity of it was shocking to me. After I lay in bed for a while praying, declaring man's good and perfect likeness to God, I decided to get out of bed to start my morning chores. As I started to make a pitcher of juice for the children, I soon found that I was unable to perform that simple task because of the return of the pain. I went back to my bedroom to waken my husband and ask him to care for the children while I continued to pray.
There has been no recurrence of the abdominal pain.
