Homosexuality—how do I respond?
Homosexuality is an issue that sharply divides people. If the current bipolar media reports are any indication, we might conclude that it's impossible for this issue ever to be resolved. There are strong opinions on either side, often based on misunderstanding or fear.
Is this a reason for despair? Despite the inconclusiveness of people's views, we do have a source of infinite intelligence that provides answers and clear direction in resolving any dilemma, and helps us know what action to take. That source is God. He is Mind; and this Mind knows us originally and perfectly. He knows what is right for each of His ideas, you and me. God, Himself, is ever present and loves each of us as His dear children, giving us purpose and direction. Each of us is the perfect idea of the one Mind.
God is communicating with all of His children. And we have a direct link with Him. It's constant and unbreakable—nothing can jeopardize it. And no two of us are at precisely the same point along exactly the same learning path. Consequently, no other person can know for us exactly what we should be learning and the way we should learn it. Christ Jesus gives us an example, though, in finding our way and progressing Spiritward—the "lesson plan" for each individual becomes clearer by listening to and humbly, persistently obeying God.
