"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Those words in the Preface of Science and Health (p. vii) have certainly blessed me.
In the sixty years since I first went to a Christian Science Sunday School, there have been many trials and tribulations, which have turned into victories when I leaned on God—that "sustaining infinite." Things that had seemed impossible to resolve became possible.
Prayer guided me in making five career changes, which involved moving our family to five different and very widespread localities; we found a place to live each time. Prayer helped me finish my college degree, with excellent grades, in minimum time, even though I had been out of college for almost twenty years. When there was no money with which to fulfill financial obligations, an understanding of God's infinitude brought solutions. And illnesses such as flu, colds, infections, and chest ailments were all healed through relying only on Christian Science, the law of God.
