Healing —what a wonderful gift of God! There have been many healings for me over the last twenty years, all through the spiritual understanding of God that I have gained in Christian Science.

A recent healing stands out most clearly. I had a backache that was overwhelming, and for a couple of days I could not sleep, sit, or walk without great pain.

I was almost in tears when I tried to pray, so I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. We had a long conversation, in which she shared many facts about man's perfection and real being as the undisturbed, wholly spiritual child of God, made in His likeness. I opened my heart to everything the practitioner was saying. I felt the presence of the Christ embracing me and everything around me. There was the strong assurance that all was well; before I hung up, I knew I was healed. Indeed, my back felt comfortable again, and I was completely at peace. All pain was gone.
