At one time when it became necessary for my husband to attend a series of business conferences in another country, we decided that I would go along and we would make a ten-day vacation of the trip.
The first two days were most enjoyable; the city was beautiful, the people friendly. The third day I came down with an internal disorder. In great discomfort, I lay in bed, trying to pray. My husband was attending a meeting.
Suddenly I had a high fever and became frightened. I got out of bed and walked up and down in our tiny motel room saying "the scientific statement of being" from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I did not merely repeat the statement. I thought through each word deeply. It begins: "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."
