I had a beautiful experience of Christian healing. For over a week I had felt discomfort in one ear. One night the pain was so severe I could not sleep. I began to read the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to keep my thought fixed on spiritual Truth. At daylight I called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer, and I continued to pray and study. Before long the pain stopped and the ear started to drain. By the end of the day I was well.

For several weeks before this healing, I had been experiencing a snapping and cracking in my jaw, as if it were out of place. A couple of days after the healing of my ear, I realized the jaw difficulty had totally disappeared and there was normal movement. I'm sure this healing occurred at the same as that of my ear. This experience indicates to me the power and presence of God, and the thoroughness of Christianly scientific prayer.

These are just two of numerous healings I have had and witnessed over the years. Many years ago my husband and I had a deep desire to have a religion we could share. Although I was an active member of another denomination, one Sunday morning we decided to attend the service at The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts, just to see what it was like. We were deeply impressed, especially with silent prayer. We went back on Wednesday. And for years we never missed a service. We became active students of Christian Science.
