Christian Science was introduced to me at a time of great searching. For years I had studied esoteric literature, having given up Christianity when I found my childhood religion of little use to me in solving the problems of adulthood. Upon first reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, however, I turned wholeheartedly to Christianity as explained by Christian Science and never returned to the old ways.

There have been many healings in my family, including those of a sprained ankle, headaches, colds, menstrual cramps, fevers, severe joint inflammation, and others. A recent healing stands out. Over a period of a few days my back became increasingly stiff until I was unable to stand up straight or carry my small child. I called a friend who is a Christian Scientist, and she prayed with me.
