"For the Homeless, A Room and a Job"
"Days Inns of America has changed the lives of 25 homeless Atlantans over the past 18 months through a program that provides jobs and housing until they can afford their own.
"We are not giving homeless people a handout, and we are not taking the easy road of a corporate contribution to a shelter for the homeless.
"Homeless people are hired to serve as reservations sales agents at our national reservations center in Atlanta.
"While setting up the program was a lot of work, it was worth it. As employees have said, 'You've saved my life,' and "You've helped me get back on my feet.'"
