Lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. (Matthew 2:9, 10)
Star!
That light of hope,
That expectancy of good,
That certainty of answer.
Sometimes pinprick glimmer,
Sometimes skyfilled glory,
But always here.
To guide.
To lead as surely as it led of old.
We too rejoice!
However dark our night,
However drab our day,
However tight our bonds,
However firm our fears,
The star always appears.
As idea. As direction.
Follow!
And find the Christ: Truth's light that frees.
