Recently I went to the home of my son and his wife to help my daughter-in-law with preparations for my grandson's wedding. Shortly after I arrived we started on an errand. As I closed the garage door behind us, my two middle fingers caught in the door. The result was a badly cut finger and a smashed finger. My first thoughts were that there's no pain or injury in Love and that God loves me. I also knew that because Spirit, God, is All, there is no poisonous matter or poisonable matter and no sensation in matter.
We went on to the store as we had intended, and after we arrived home my daughter-in-law lovingly insisted on washing my hand and putting a bandage on the cut. I continued with the work I had come to do—preparing food for a large number of guests. I kept my thought filled with great gratitude for God's love. The healing was quick. These fingers were used a lot during the next four days without difficulty.
I'm so grateful to be a working student of Christian Science and to know God's love meets every need.
