I wish I could tell the world of my deep and boundless gratitude for Christian Science! During the years since our family found this truth, so much practical good has come to us. But more important than the outer evidences are the inner feelings of peace and joy and the satisfaction of knowing that we have found the true nature of God, man, and the universe. The Comforter, divine Science, which has come through God's revelation to Mary Baker Eddy, continues to deepen and broaden our understanding of the spiritual teachings of the Bible, especially those of Christ Jesus.

Our lives have been uplifted, our motives transformed. A higher manifestation of home, activity, relationship, and opportunity has resulted. We have learned that supply for daily needs is not material in origin but spiritual. Giving has become the basis for receiving. New ways of serving our fellowmen have brought increased supply, providing beyond our immediate needs, enabling us to be more benevolent and to bless others.

It has been our joy to prove the effectiveness of this Science in the cure of all kinds of illnesses, some of them extreme cases. In one instance eleven years ago, I had a condition of bleeding that lasted twenty-four hours without letup. The situation looked very grave, and I was physically weak. My husband was deeply concerned. I turned wholeheartedly to God and chose to rely on Him for the healing I knew would come. I was able to locate my Christian Science teacher, who was away from home on a lecture tour. After he had agreed to prayerfully support me that day, he quickly turned my thought from the body to Mind by voicing some very helpful spiritual truths. After we talked, I thought of what he had told me and looked up the definition of "blood" in a dictionary. One definition given was "the seat of the emotions." This was very enlightening. The story of the woman whom Christ Jesus healed of the issue of blood was included in that week's Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. It too was helpful, especially the statement describing her healing (Luke 8:44): "and immediately her issue of blood stanched."
