From the age of seven, I was interested in finding out more of God. My parents did not go to church, but with my little friends I went to many of the churches in the neighborhood where we lived. It was still common when I was young to read the Bible and sing hymns in public school, and I loved this activity every morning. Thus I learned a number of psalms and many beautiful parts of the book of Revelation.

When I was twenty, my husband brought home some Christian Science literature. Then I knew! This was it—this was what I had been looking for. I was healed of a goiter just through reading Science and Health, written by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I had had the goiter for many years. It just disappeared. Our baby's health improved noticeably too. He became strong and well, and I enrolled him in the Christian Science Sunday School when he turned two.

We went to live in France for a while when our boy was grown. It was such a joy to attend local Christian Science churches during our stay there. At the Wednesday evening meetings I would give testimony in French and English.

At one time I was told something that seemed devastating to me. I became quite ill. I called my Christian Science teacher, and he prayed for me. It took some time, but I gradually regained my strength and went back to work, completely healed.

I have been a member of The Mother Church for over sixty years, and I am still loving being a member of a branch church. If ever I need help, I call a Christian Science practitioner, and the healing effect of the prayer comes quickly.

I love horses. Always during my vacations as a teacher, I would take care of them and teach riding. One day I was given a horse I had never seen before. She kicked me and broke two of my ribs. I was taken to the hospital, but I requested that a practitioner be called. I went home shortly, and in one week I was back on the horse I loved, totally healed.

Another healing in my family occurred when our son apparently broke his ankle. I called a practitioner, and the boy was completely healed in a short time.

When I was twelve years old, I was sent home from school because I couldn't read the blackboard. Glasses were bought for me, as we had no religion in our home, and I did not know to pray about this difficulty. I wore glasses for many years. Then one day after I had begun to study Christian Science, I was healed. I am eighty-eight now, and I can still see perfectly without glasses.
