The "very good" of me
Softly now and with deepest tenderness
I let unfurl in thought
what God beholds of me and truly knows—
the holy beauty of my being.
In breathholding silence
the vision is reached for.
There, in quietude, emerges
this "very good" of me.
Refreshed and reassured, I let it
tumble light-clad into my day.
