AGREEMENT

Ruth Doerr Brierley

No compromise
hammered out on the anvil of mortal mind,
No uneasy truce
or apathetic surrender to another's way,

But each one listening
with spiritual single-mindedness
to catch the divine echo.

Unity—
God's will,
gently perceived by all.
