My first testimony appeared in an April, 1961, issue of the Christian Science Sentinel. Since then there has been continuing evidence of the Christ-healing in my daily living. Christ Jesus said (Matt. 7: 14), "Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life." I am finding that striving to live in this way gives one freedom from the false laws of materialism and one sees and partakes more of the spiritual. There is no restriction in disciplined spiritual living; one finds no generation gap, no neurosis, no dirge.
Through the help of my teacher in Christian Science, I was healed of an ankle injury that made my foot hang limp. This healing took place in seven days.
We received a call from the hospital late one evening stating that our daughter was in the accident ward. There was evidence that her leg was broken, but she had declined X rays. We went to sign a release for her and rode home in the ambulance. There were symptoms of concussion and also of injury to the pelvis. We requested the prayerful help of a faithful Scientist until a Christian Science practitioner could be reached.
