A myriad of blessings have come to me...
A myriad of blessings have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. Physical healings have included those of chronic colds, deafness in one ear, burns, chronic constipation, sprains, a weak stomach, and back and arm strains. One healing that I should like to relate here was that of what was probably an abscessed throat.
About four years ago, one Friday afternoon while at my office, I began to experience a sense of pain and swelling in one side of my throat. I had only a moment's opportunity to call a practitioner and ask her to give me Christian Science treatment.
After I reached home I called her again, and she gave me many strong and loving statements of truth to use, as well as references in the Bible and in the writings of Mrs. Eddy for study. The pain and swelling had not yielded by Saturday night, when I was so weary and distracted by them that if I lifted my eyes from the page I could not find my place again. However, I persisted in my study. I talked with the practitioner several times by telephone, and she was stoutly claiming, and urging me to claim, my perfection as a child of God.
