I took up the study of Christian Science purely for physical healing. I had been a sufferer since a child from severe headaches, which had greatly increased with the years. I had not been studying very long before I realized that what I really wanted was an understanding of Truth itself, regardless of whether or not it healed me. Insomnia, weakness, and acute attacks of indigestion soon began to disappear. I studied faithfully for over five years, and had help from loving and patient practitioners, but the headaches did not cease until about the time I became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. Resentment, pride, and many other faults of disposition have been overcome to some extent.

Willingness to serve in church work has brought many blessings. When we lose ourselves in God's work, then we find ourselves in God's care. This I have proved many times.

I can never be too grateful to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for Christian Science. It has brought to me a large measure of the peace "which passeth all understanding." I am also grateful to have had the privilege of class instruction.—(Mrs.) Mary F. Bedford, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
