After my graduation from college, finding all the questions...
After my graduation from college, finding all the questions about life and God which had perplexed me from childhood still unanswered, I began reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. While reading it I visited a friend still in a college philosophy class in which the professor was reviewing the stages of growth in the history of philosophy. He explained how the atomic theory had falled into abeyance when it had dawned upon the philosophic thought that anything which occupied space must of necessity be divisible; and how, consequently, philosophers had concluded that the basis of life must be not a material element, but a force. Then I realized that Mrs. Eddy had seen farther still than they, and I was ready to attempt to grasp her explanation of Life as Spirit.
It was only, however, as I saw that the truth as taught in Science and Health is demonstrable that I was really willing to accept it as the truth. Witnessing its practical application in a number of healings left no room for further doubt. Since that time every problem in which I have sought the help of Christian Science has been harmoniously solved; perplexing questions have been answered; physical ills, including grippe, colds, headaches, sprained ankle, ulcerated tooth, and a condition said to be caused by so-called poison oak, have been promptly healed. A sense of protection and joy has also been mine, increased by the realization that this same panacea is at hand for all who seek it.
No one need remain in darkness or suffering to-day, for the truth, the Science of being, has been revealed to this age. All who desire, may know it. "Seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
