[Written for the Sentinel]
Daniel
I sing
of Daniel, God's true child!
So steadfast did he stand for right
In error's dark and fearful cave,
With lions crouched alert to spring,
That through the ages he has been
A comfort and a joy to all.
And so, when clouds of mortal sense
Confuse my thought, I think of him
And turn with him to Truth and Love.
