I have had so many proofs of the healing and beneficial effects of Christian Science that I hardly know where to begin in writing my testimony for publication. Christian Science has helped me every day, in some way, for the past several years. It has taught me to know God as ever available and ever present. I will relate one proof of the protecting power of Truth which occurred some time ago. My husband and I were driving one Sunday and strayed into a strange road. After we had gone a short distance the road became very narrow and steep. We reached the top and just as we were starting down a machine came in sight and we had not time to stop, so swerved to the outside. For an instant we thought the machine would roll down the hillside, and then we knew that God was with us and we could come to no harm. The machine gave a start and suddenly stopped in a seemingly dangerous position. My husband managed to crawl out some way and pulled me out. The people from the other car came back, and when they saw the position of the car they said we could not get the machine on the road again without a derrick. We knew, however, that God was still with us, that He does not do things halfway, and that a Christian Science demonstration is complete. The men finally decided to go back half a mile to a farmhouse and get a team of horses and some ropes, and see if that would do any good. This they did and in less than an hour we were on our way home unhurt and the car not damaged in the least. This is one proof that Christian Science not only heals but protects and delivers from every difficulty. I am so grateful for every channel through which Christian Science operates. I could not get along without the literature, and have recently realized that fact more fully. In moving from one place to another I was without it for about a week and missed it so much. Now that I am getting it again I am more grateful than ever for it. Mrs. Eddy knew what the world needed when she gave us all these wonderful gifts and blessings and I am most grateful to her for giving Christian Science to the world, a religion that is teaching man to know God as Life, Truth, and Love.
