Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for what Christian Science...
Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for what Christian Science has done for me. I have been healed of nervous prostration, chronic constipation, severe congestion, headaches, which would last for three days, during which time I could take no food and could not bear a ray of light in the room. I was also healed of a severe case of pneumonia, when those who saw me, who were not Christian Scientists, thought I would not live through the night, and I have many other healings during the many years I have been studying Christian Science, including that of grip, colds, and burns. But all these wonderful healings are as nothing compared with the peace, joy, and comfort the study and application of Christian Science bring to me. I have been able to rise above the thought of resentment, when mortal sense would tell me that I had been treated very unjustly. I have been made to know that there is no lack in divine Mind, and that if we seek "first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness," that all things needful are added unto us; and this has been done when to mortal sense material supply (money) seemed very small, and I have been made to see that there is no separation when loved ones pass away from our mortal sight. As Mrs. Eddy says in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 225), "Love is the liberator." And with love for God and man in our hearts we surely are happy, and rich indeed.
