Grateful for Christian Science
Christian Science was presented to me about four years ago, after I had suffered from fifteen to twenty years, and the result was so glorious that I feel it is my duty to our beloved Mother, the Rev. Mary Baker G. Eddy, and to my healer, to acknowledge the benefit.
My greatest suffering was from indigestion, which at periods would result in diarrhœa in a most acute form, and for weeks following such attacks I would be completely prostrated. During a greater part of the time I was compelled to conform to the most rigid diet, being unable to digest any substantial food. During all this period I was constantly under the care of physicians.
At a time when life was a burden, and all hope of ever being well had been abandoned, Christian Science came to me. I called on my healer, who had only been in Norfolk a short time, and she was so kind and loving as to impress me in a most favorable manner. She told me to take the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and read it, and it would be all I would need; but I insisted upon being treated at once. I was determined to get all I could, so treatment was begun that day. In less than two weeks I felt entirely well.
