Love Unchanging

Hush, little one.

Thoughts for Each Hour

Wings in the sky at morning's shining gate,—the wings of wrath, the maniac wings of hate.

A Song of Joy

There sings in my heart from day to dayA joyous thought which clings alway,And lifts me above earth's cares and fears,Till I seek no more the place of tearsBut find my hope to courage grown,Remembering Love's sure care for His own.

The Hills

I looked upon the steadfast hills,And prayed that I might growAs grand as they; their strength—it fillsMy heart with rev'rence so!

Shadows

WHEN shadows fall, soft doth the evening foldHer veil of purple o'er the weary west,Homeward a swallow flies to guard its nestTill night is melted in the morning's gold.

Darkness Dispelled

'Tis said that God is good; yet men believeHe who is Love divineDoth send them sorrow, pain, all things that grieve; This gloomy creed's not mine.

The Prince of Peace

When thou in lowliness of heart dost waitOn Love, for answer to thy pleaArt list'ning for my voice, my will to know,—My peace I give.

Ever-presence

I need Love's healing cup, earth's thirst to quell;Truth's strong, sure staff upon my upward way;To hear Thy voice, with cheering tones to tellThere is no night in God's eternal day.

Love's with Thee

In error's night, o'ercast with fear,When tossed on earth's tempestuous sea,When seemed no hope of succor near—A voice said gently, Love's with thee!

The Invitation

Art thou weary of the struggle?

Dawn

Oh , joy is mine! the day at last is breaking,The night far spent proclaims the dawn is near; The clouds of mortal sense their leave are taking,And perfect Love is casting out all fear.
