Condition of progress

Honesty answered firsta blunt, uncompromising "No"While False Humility rationalized"It's not to be expected!"Self-Righteousness.

More than a quilt

The light of Christ is not a patchwork quiltIt is a seamless garmentSo we cannot be satisfiedwith stitching our lives togetherinto pleasant little patternsThe only real patternis the one of transfigurationThe light of Christ is a transformernot a seamstressThe Christ not only mends, it restoresand renews and reveals what already always has beenAnd every time we part withour preconceived pieces, our this-is-how-it-should-work-out outlookwe are blessedand robed in light,a light that also warms the world, the Christ light, which is not a quilt butthe Comforter.

A Reading Room is ...

Yes, a Reading Room isMore than a reading room.

The ultimate weapon

Basic training:"The mission of the soldier,"They told us,"Is to close with and destroyThe enemy.

The Christ appears

The fourth watch—Can seem the darkest hour of the night,When sea is tempest-tossed

Moving day

I may say goodbye to my house.

Where are the boats?

Challenging times.

The kingdom within

As a crocus expands in the sunAnd contracts in the cold,So we, beneath the healing touch of Love,Put forth our petals and shineWith a reflected radiance not our own.
